For the first time in the political history of Mumbai and probably India, Lok Satta Party (LSP) candidates for BMC and TMC polls have taken, a Unique Public Pledge to reaffirm their commitment to clean corruption free citizen centric governance in their wards.
The Citizen has become cynical about all politics and all politicians. Through this event, LSP candidates have solemnly and publicly committed their actions towards the betterment of the wards where they will get a mandate.
This pledge is NOT just a promise but guarantees that the actions of the elected corporators are transparent and that through this pledge they hold themselves directly accountable and answerable to the citizens they seek to serve.
The pledge is a public manifestation of LSP and its candidates of the commitment to the principles as enshrined in the Model Nagar Raj Bill and The Ten Guarantees that LSP has publicly released.
