Molotov cocktails thrown at NYC Islamic sites

Molotov cocktails thrown at NYC Islamic sites

NEW YORK (AP) – New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says fire attacks on an Islamic center and three other New York City sites "have no place in our open and inclusive society."
Authorities are investigating the Sunday night attacks in Queens as bias crimes. There were no injuries.
Police say three of the attacks involved molotov cocktails.
In the first, a bottle was thrown at a counter at a bodega at 8 p.m.
Ten minutes later, a nearby house was possibly set on fire. Firefighters battled the blaze for 40 minutes.
At 8:44 p.m., a bottle was thrown at the Imam Al-Khoei (al-HO'-ee) Foundation building. A door of the Shiite mosque was damaged.
At 10:14 p.m., a house used for Hindu worship services was attacked. Police say two bottles were thrown but didn't explode.
