Jal Satyagraha
It is most unfortunate that the Madhya Pradesh government is not heeding the voice of poor farmers who have lost their lands to the Indira Sagar Reservoir. Land-for-land compensation is a basic human right. The farmers' Jal Satyagraha shows the determination of the farmers. The Land Acquisition Act of 1894 is a colonial Act and must be amended.
